I know I don't speak out much these days, but as the Co-Founder of Clipmarks I feel I should say that Eric is not the only one that has these beliefs. I think I can speak for everyone hear at Clipmarks when I say that we all do and always have shared the vision of a place where we can debate and be civil at the same time. I look forward to a day in the near future when I can spend a little more time debating and a little less time writing code. Though I fear that will not be sooner than later with all the suggestions and ideas that keep coming in. By the way, keep them coming...I love to hear feedback good or bad!

I agree with you Eric 100%....

People can be passionate about something without being rude or crude. If you say something joking make sure you note it somehow so the innocent by-reader isn't offended.
This is in alignment with the mature filter and no porn on clipmarks.

That is true skwirlinator...Sometimes is very difficult to know when a person is mad or just joking...
Clipmarks is a wonderful site and is a great place to learn and share...and I thank you all for that, Eric and Djkraz...

As a way back member of Clipmarks I can't say enough how generous all the CM people have been with tolerance in the past. However, even the most patient people have a breaking point.

As adults there should be a way to disagree with someone else's perspective without insulting, belittling, etc. Including a smiley in a poorly worded counter-point does not preclude you from justice.

I really enjoy seeing clips and comments by the CM team. I think it's nice when the team can enjoy the fruits of their labor. It's another reason to enjoy the podcasts, too. Hearing (and reading) what others think about some clips is interesting and deepens the clips (which I really like since EricG keeps making the clip limit smaller and smaller and smaller *wink)
