akipta says: I don't know which extension is grabbing the attention here. I can disable the Delicious extension, but I rather like it and don't want to do that. Clipmarks does not pop up when I use the Delicious extension. Any ideas on troubleshooting? Delicious been sucking for long, I uninstalled their extension keeping only the bookmarklet (which does the same thing except you're not installing anything. Anyway, your clip appears to be a support ticket, not sure why you're clipping it. Since I installed Firefox my clips have quit appearing with everyone elses clips and my clip count stands at 0 no matter how many clips I make. To be seen you have to go to my clip sight. Clipmasters won't respond. Bnm and I think they're going to some file somewhere but I can't find it. Good luck to you on sorting your problem. Clipmasters won't respond. That has not been my experience contacting them at support email address. How long ago you sent them your email? I'm curious. arifsali, that's what I sent Clipmarks in an email request for support. No answer. It's been weeks. Not even a reply to say they'll check into it. Nothing. I prefer Delicious (in classic mode) over Clipmarks for storing personal bookmarks for professional academic research projects. I have nearly 8000 bookmarks there, all tagged, most annotated. Clipmarks just doesn't cut it for me in that use as the academic crowds I follow prefer Delicious, too. I use Clipmarks primarily for updating my blog. To each his own, eh? I'm just very frustrated with the current conflict between extensions and even more so with the lack of acknowledgment from support. akipta, I also use delicious and certainly there is no comparison between clipmarks and delicious, they both have different sets of features. I would send another email to support@clipmarks.com or email Eric directly eric@clipmarks.com. One of the best feature of Clipmarks is the availability of founders and developers right here clipping with us and supporting at the same time, though lately there has been zero development but they're still around. email sent to support@clipmarks Clipmasters won't respond.Ha! I've sent I don't know how many emails and never get a reply. I can search all clips, but each and every friggin' time I try to do a search among my own clips, I get *timed out.* Don't hold you're breath on getting any *support*, but good luck to you! I try at least once or twice every week. I just tried again today. I need to apologize for this, as it is entirely my fault. Please don't interpret the following as an excuse; just an explanation. Over the past couple of months, there have some issues and challenges that i've been dealing with that would have enormous consequences on the short and long term makeup of the company. From both a product development and business perspective, there have been decisions in front of us that would have enormous impact. In trying to navigate through these issues and make smart decisions, i needed to step back from some of my other typical responsibilities. For whatever reason, a clear, consistent, easy mindset was what i needed to get through these times. On... Akipta, next time I have a problem I'm going to complain about it in a comment on your clip. You actually got a response. I still haven't got a response and I emailed them again yesterday. egoldstein, thank you for the reply and for your honesty. I'm looking forward to working with Clipmarks in resolving the conflicts between these two extensions (Clipmarks and Delicious). They're both extremely useful tools to me and I'd really like to avoid being put in the position where I have to decide which to disable/uninstall. Please contact me and let me know how I can help. For what it's worth, I use the CM and the delicious extensions simultaneously on several computers and have never experienced any problems. If there were any problems, I would have been the first to say something. (EricG knows this well....) Also, ease up a little people. Remember this is a free service you're complaining about! In these times, that is an amazing thing.... Also, ease up a little people. Remember this is a free service you're complaining about! My cost to use this application has absolutely nothing to do with my responsibility to submit a bug report when it's broken. I'm sorry if you view that as "complaining." I work with the developers of many of the applications I use, and I help them resolve problems. That's how a real community works. It might also be viewed as a "free service" I provide in return. |
