#1. As my previous post mentioned, there is always the classic issue of "guns or butter." We think we can spend trillions on foreign wars, wars we've provoked, wars based on proved lies (WMD's and anthrax attacks....anthrax that came from a US military lab)...but when it comes to meeting citizens needs (we, us who pay the taxes), we can't do this or do that because it cost too much.

But it's a choice what we pay our taxes on. I don't like to see them spent on provoking foreign wars based on lies....

Point Two, your strong points are a bit too strong; you make it sound impossible and you don't seem to hear the Presi...

Who would ever have believed, for example, that a car would get 230 mpg?

Yet, the new Chevy Volt may get this official EPA estimate.

If we can produce a car that gets 230 mpg (um....1liter per 100K) it shows the dramatic improvements that are possible, if we put our minds to it....if we stop assuming the old ways of doing things are the best.

I KNOW, 4sure, that in some medical concerns I have had, here and there, there was waste and corruption (doing the same expensive test again and again just to pay for the machine or doctor's salary).

I also know insurance companies deny treatments and meds, routinely.

Although I don't really feel like speaking harshly....but it's a thread in this post....I'd say someone would be a fool not to realize these things: we can choice better where to put our tax bucks and we can spend our tax bucks more efficiently....and we can make great progress.
