Just more evidence that religion is nothing but a big man made moneymaking scheme. Thanks to the <a href="http://www.badastronomy.com/bablog/2007/08/09/godtm/#comments">Bad Astronomer</a> for pointing this little nugget out.

Wow! I wonder if I should file a lawsuit against all printed Bible makers.

After all - if their reasoning is correct, then I am a direct descendant of Moses who wrote down the first words of text. Therefore I should get some royalties.

More so - I am a direct descendant of God who spoke the words to Moses - thus I certainly must have some legal ground.

Of course these Bible Makers can argue - hey we changed the text slightly and used creative freedom with our version - thus it is a new work, not a direct work of God or Moses.

Does this mean that the fundies that endlessly quote scripture have to acknowledge copyright? Who's going to sue them? I suppose a sub-set of the Supreme court could try the cases. Let me see, who on the court could be used.

Or they are just setting up for one of the sweeping revisions of the text to update it to match 21st century ideals. Just as it has been tampered with before. Re-writing faith and history, fun(di) stuff.
