Most certainly, conceptual analysis precedes all. Not that there is a perspicuous final analysis - for the conceptual system is recursive and circular, and requires its own impossible analysis - but that understanding proceeds through shared provisional clarifications.

I never had any trouble understanding consciousness when I eliminated the conceptual and assimilated the Divine. Of course, I had help from some psylocibin, peyote, mescaline and LSD...and hashish...NO, NOT ALL AT ONCE! But seriously ya gotta get beyond conceptualizing to the presence, the essence.
