Many people do not realize that the Catholic Church is made up of 23 other rites who are autonomous particular Churches. These Churches are in communion with the bishop of Rome yet have their own distinctiveness from the larger Latin rite. All the distinct rites are equal yet diverse which makes the Church diverse and beautiful.
