There is a part of the Lebanon where 4 separate mining has happened all the way back to the French in the 1900s. The last two was by Israel with the last time a blitzkrieg of cluster bombs.

In 1964, the United States launched what became a nine-year series of airstrikes in Laos. The operation was aimed at stopping the Viet Cong, but by the end, a total of 1.9 million tons of bombs were dropped on the country of less than 4 million people.
