Blackwater is paying our ex-military to go back into combat. After ten years of service an enlisted grunt makes less than 60k. Blackwater offers these men six figures, shortened deployments, and better training (Blackwater trains our military to boot, got to participate in some while still in the service). Mercenaries, yes. But in a organization that is was formed and is run by ex United States military members. The fact that the U.S. has to rely on mercs to do these jobs shows deep flaws in the system. And if they want to serve they should have stayed in uniform. Never trust a man who kills for money and operates outside of the law. And the fact that they used to wear uniforms is no comfort to me or should be to anyone, after all it was taxpayers dollars who payed for their original training which they are then peddling again for many more times that amount without any clear benefits to said taxpayer. You prefer they get all that training and then leave the service and do what? Cagematches? Clear benefits to taxpayers... freeing up the military for actual operations as opposed to chaperoning around a bunch of clueless dignitaries. Leaves the important work for the soldiers... Oh and I didn't see the bodycount on how many they killed while protecting Obambi while he was there.... Could that mean they were paid to protect his azz not to kill for money? Most major corporations do this and it is considered a smart financial move as well. The military has rules and age limits for active combat operations limiting your term of service. Also, unlike some disgruntled service members who freely raised thier right hands to protect and defend (and now complain), Blackwater guys are PAID to do the job. Whether they like dislike Obama, Bush or others, they still have a job to do and th... They're not the Blackwater Obama knew. |
