Does anyone have any proof of this other than this article? Because I REALLY just can't believe it. It sounds like an urban legend to me.

Halliburton KBR got a huge contract to build these facilities in the US. It was at least a 350-385 million dollar contract, maybe even more. At any rate you can do a search at Whatreallyhappened.com using their special WRH search. ( Its on the site on the left side) I suggest trying keywords such as Haliburton KBR, Detention Centers or Halliburton contracts. This way you can access the material that has not yet been 'dissapeared' from the web. Thankfully WRH does archive. Site index may be helpful too. Good luck. Hope this helps.

Whoa, Perwana, took your advice and this is frightening. I just did a Google search on "Haliburton KBR, Detention Centers," and got about 60,000 responses. About the best one was The Black Commentator, which asks some very good questions. I skipped over the NYT articles (worried about the cost) and went for the alternet.com's and like that.
