When faced with a national emergency on 9/11 Democrats united behind the Republican president to work toward facing this threat. When faced with a national emergency with the financial and economic meltdown Republicans turn on the president and play divisive partisan politics. Now who is it that is pro-American here? Well, when you try to work with a guy and his response is "I won" or when major legislation is being drafted behind closed doors with the minority party locked out, then bipartisanship isn't much of an option. N2, are you talking about 2001 or 2005? You know I would not feel to damn receptive to someone looting my house no more than I do of Obama and Congress looting the country. However you call conservatives bad Americans for not being as fiscally stupid as you, Obama and Congress are. We should just help the fools shovel more money onto the fire! Not exactly clear what you are saying, d. Seems like you are basically calling the American economy a fire pit into which investments by the government are useless. N2, are you talking about 2001 or 2005?Bush worked quite a bit with the democrats. They were quite good buds behind closed doors when it came to spending our tax dollars. Bush worked with Teddy on no child left behind. He worked with democrats on the largest new government entitlement in decades with the prescription drug laws. McCain as well was quite open to working with democrats. On the other hand, Obama has made no attempt whatsoever to work with republicans. The entire house GOP leadership was locked out of debating the largest spending bill in US history. Heck, the democrat leadership is even going so far to shut out republicans that they have some of their own balk... Obama and Dems view of bipartisanship = We won - you lost - shove it! The irony |
