wow, this is really incredible. I remember a couple of years ago when the Indonesian army was still occupying East Timor and the Aussies had to go in to ensure a safe transition of power. I think they barely had phones then. It's sad to see Ramos-Horta go, really a great man from what I've heard.

I wonder if he has set a precendent for how people will resign in the future. A simple text message to their boss and hr dept that says, "I quit" or "I resign" Wonder if it would be considered a legal resignation.
