Hate is still in business. Germany 1939. America 2007. The only difference is the date and who we hate. The big difference is 8000 nuclear warheads. "A similar accretion is taking shape in the sex war. In the early days of the women's movement, when misogyny was on every tongue, some writers, feminists among them, misused misanthropy in belief that it meant hatred of males. Misogyny's correct mate is misandry: a woman who hates men is a misandrist. You can do wonders with a matched set as Walt Whitman demonstrated when he defined America as the place where: "the men hate the women and the women hate the men." Florence King With Charity Toward None A Fond Look At Misanthropy The Washington Post published some supplemental information; the who and where on maps: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/graphic/2008/03/07/GR2008030702914.html This has really bothered me a great deal - the United States has actually jumped a staggering 48 percent since 2000. And the question is, what has contributed to this rise in hatred and hate groups? Another question, what about the vigilante groups who have formed to "protect" our along Mexico/USA borders? Another hate group. I know they really under counted the hate groups. They forgot to count all the anti-hate groups which are actually hate groups. |
