What most of fail to understand or care about is that with or without our assistance the planet is going to continue being itself as we do also. It will do what it has done since before we came upon it and overused it resources for our own means without care for it's well being. The planet does not need us unlike our need for the planet. So, what's it going to be? Let it ride to our extinction or do something to balance the environment so we can continue on here for a while?

Unfortunately, shamanic
practice as taught imbeds us in pathological constructs. Linear, vertical
thinking has brought us to disaster. If we leave religion behind, trance
practice can lead us to an egalitarian culture of biological integration. We
must reject the religious rituals and notions of upper and lower worlds. We
must cease our efforts to ascend and return to living completely here, in
ourselves, on this earth, as integrated beings.
