Yah ... this is one of those things were the results far outweigh what parents think is best. To put it succinctly, many people in America are pretty ignorant and buy into some pretty outlandish things. The "dangers" of HPV being one of them.

When do parental rights to make stupid decisions end and the children's rights to a healthy life begin?

When we have as corrupt as a government as we do now, I don't feel comfortable with anything they "force" me to do. In Washington right now we a situation where a few people scream one thing & a large majority say the other yet our government tends to side with the minority. This is nothing more than one more way our government wants to control us. And, who are you to say that what a parent's decisions should be?

The jury is still out, in my mind, on vaccinations, but when the government starts forcing them on us, it makes me question them, especially for non-life threatening illnesses. For example, the chance of a kid having a serious adverse reaction to the DPT vaccine is 1 in 1750 but ...

60 years ago cigarettes advertisements along with legal bribery ... er ... lobbying ... had a reason to want people to smoke - profit on a grotesque scale.
