bioplasmik says: Will this really hurt Sbucks? No. On the West coast, at least in Portland, Seattle's Best is served at McDogfood's, a chain owned my none other than Mega(Star)bucks. Go figure. clip* for the title! Very clever! Wov, McDonalds is selling coffee now. *Must study for French Exam. Must resist temptation to go to McDonalds* oui. I'm no fan of McDonalds, but i wouldn't be upset to see Starbucks get pushed around a bit. I think they've become very complacent in recent years. The food they serve is pathetic and their service has gotten lousy (at least in nyc). egoldstein, Absolutely. Here in the Northwest we know our coffee, and we know good coffee from bad coffee, which usually transcends beyond the matter of a community's opinion into fact. The million Starwrecks in Portland, which at any given moment are swarmed by coffee bees, are still experiencing competition from the the million locally owned coffee houses/stands/drivethru Tuff Sheds serving by far a superior cup than S's Burnt Blend. I prefer these smaller shops with better brew- in fact the free wireless I'm now using is compliment of Willamette Coffee House in my neighborhood. Since we have quite the diversity of coffee establishments here, we are lacking the consistency Starcluc... This clip and the news would be near and dear to me as a representative example. For last few months, I have given up on Starbucks completely and I'm totally hooked on McDonald's coffee. The only thing sucks about McDonalds (and it is excusable due to the taste of their coffee) is the service and their lack of knowledge in serving coffee. For the sake of not bothering much, I almost always take my coffee with creme and splenda on side. I prevent drive-thru because it is even worst. So if you were to take me and my experience as a microcosm of the above news, you can imagine that they're serving a "good" coffee. The food they serve is patheticLOL. 'cause it is true. |
