I myself don't like the tone the media taking unless i myself am taking it wrong. Seems like they are trying to say this girl could of escaped anytime she wanted to.
They forget one thing. she was 11 when kidnapped. grew up rest of years brainwashed and bonded with by the scumbags. Mind control from age 11 is easily obtained probably using boot camp tactics at first. I remember parris island where after a few weeks i would give the world for just a kind word from my drill instructor. So imagine how much more would be on an 11 year old girl.
