This is so open to abuse by the powers that be it is insane, if you are considering getting of the grid now is the time to do it, particularly if you disagree with the governments position on... well pretty much anything at all.

Our only saving grace is that odds are good 75% of the population won't be able to afford heating and cooling 24 hours a day after Cap & Trade hits our utility bills.

But I bet those sucking the government's tit (Detroit etc) will NEVER be shut off and will all be subsidized.
