Ten tons of space dust falls on Earth every day.
Now this may be the answer to something that has always intrigued me. It's about how deep you need to dig always to discover the past.

Previously I'd conclude that erosion was responsible with the earth becoming smoother. Now I wonder if this space dust isn't at least partially responsible.

The number of people alive on Earth right now is higher than the number of all the people that have died ever.
I tried to imagine that, I couldn't.
I wonder how they calculated this...

This is really only a 'hair' over 16/1000 ths of an OUNCE per square MILE.
So every 61.73 days an OUNCE of the dust falls over a square MILE.
In a year, 5.92 OUNCES falls over a square MILE.
And ,especially if it is dense stuff, it isn't that hard to imagine. A small pinch on your roof and yard every year.

If "it isn't that hard to imagine" refers to my comment (which I assume, since there is no other comment about "not being able to imagine sth."), it wasn't the fact about the space dust I couldn't imagine, it was the one about the "number of people living/ever died".

no, davboz's answer doesn't refers to your comment about number of people, but it refers to righthand's comment
