Quite a challenge how to pass sufficient knowledge about it onto the non-tech users, so that everyone can become aware of the main pitfalls (and actually just be aware of that there are pitfalls). Generally speaking, people most often want "maximum conveniency", which is the main reason why most are ignorant about even their own security and dont bother to learn about security etc. This makes such issues harder to inform about, as they are not exactly "hot topics". People generally do not like to adapt new technologies hence all these web 2.0 sites are mostly infiltrated with kids and young people. The dissatisfaction shown at the time of conversion of Netscape and USAToday indicates this trend. |
