Jorjor says: The article goes on to say, "Sadler said people should bring anything that represents Satan in their lives to the burning - it doesn't have to be book. "'Harry Potter' books, Goosebumps books, Ouija boards, etc..." Sadler said. He said the world needs to go back to the values that this nation was founded on, "biblical values". "This is a call to definition between what is good and evil; God and Satan," Sadler said. What's really dismaying about this newspaper item is that the heading gives the time and place as if this were a social event or a bake sale. "If my own father were a heretic, I would personally gather the wood to burn him" -- Pope Paul IV Bibles? I remember seeing part of an episode of The Waltons which was late in the series' run ('bout 1978 or so), depicting the run-up to WWII. Anti-German sentiments were running high, and the local yokels got together to burn a bunch of German-language books. John-Boy objected, and picked up a singed volume from the pile, and gave it to an elderly woman (who, apparently, spoke German) and asked her to read from it. The book turned out to be a bible, and the rubes got all ashamed, put out the fire and went home. I wonder what Sandler would say about someone tossing a scriptureor two on the fire. A Rabi has just uncovered the secret word of "GOD" and he say's that the name means transgender, from this the bible make sense, see the first half is written by a man trapped inside a women body and the second half is written by a woman inside a mans body.As for me I always felt like a lesbian trap inside a mans body. |
