If public broadcasters want to moderate presidential debates, its moderators ought to display fairness and balance toward both political parties. If the system funds liberal filmmakers, it ought to fund conservative filmmakers as well, and not just serve as a political organizing tool for one side. The nation's PBS stations should reflect the diversity of its whole audience. PBS just drips with pomposity and an assumed sophisticated oh-so-correctness. A word or a phrase with the twinge of disdain, to the straight up bias that subtly would ask what neanderthal would -(sniff ! Those who feel to be one of the chosen and rigidly comply will just listen and agree, of course. Those who listen critically and skeptically will be aware of the aforementioned That said, I would not shut it out completely, as filtering out useful information is definitely possible from PBS sometimes.
