Yes, chestnut501, this would be a mockery of common sense. But, I guess, this post is administrative, rather than scientifical, and good administrator can possess some conservative views. Although not exposing his beliefs (religious, politic) on a public can be rather troublesome with this kind of job...

0bama destroying our health care is starting to make sense now that I found out his next book will be titled “To Serve Man.” I'm going to feel like jerk for going after 0bama on not reading the health care bill if it ends up he’s illiterate.

Francis Collins is not a fundamentalist by any means. He is a Christian, but not a fundamentalist. He has both a PhD and an MD. He was head of the human genome project.

You cannot question whether Collins is a scientist. He is. Yes, Christians can be scientist. I'd say fundamentalists can be, too, but they have to resolve their cognitive dissonance if they work in the fields of biology or physics.
