It's VP's job: But she has never even served in a legislature! How would she possibly know how to manage America's most difficult legislative body? Let alone how she would possibly step in, if needed, for the President, in a nation still at war. Take a deep look at McCain's judgment here. What a reckless, foolishly political nomination this is for the nation!
And compare her credentials to Joe Biden's . . .

Saw her on TV.

She said she has always worked with her hands.

Whatever!

I bet she's still smarter than Nancy Pelosi will ever be.

She'll be 'heartbeat away' from the Presidency, with credentials of running (well I might add) a smaller version of US, i.e. the State of Alaska, which sounds like it's unacceptable to you, masbury. How is it Obama, who has NO experience, actually running the country from get go (without any heartbeats away) is acceptable? Besides, being in charge of the Senate isn't anything special, it's the majority that runs the body, not the VP.

Hi Duli - don't see either one right now - someone must've already taken care of it.

Just think: In that short time she has lapped Obama in real accomplishment twice over. At LEAST!

Antara and Masbury - there was more than one Clipmarks user on the computer I was on yesterday. I had my page open and a friend made a comment thinking it was their account. Completely innocent, no harm, just wasn't my sentiment.

That question inspires a giggle.
Images of an incompetent, self-congratulating, non-accomplishing Nancy Pelosi drift across my mind's eye. Her biggest moment consists of reveling in their '06 victory night, shouting, "Let's hear it for the power!" And, Oh Yeah, the minimum wage bill.
Wow. What was that list they all campaigned on that your press conveniently forgot about?

I'm sure Ms. Palin is intelligent. But let's not be so naive as to imply Obama's track record is insignificant. These bills - especially as they relate to foreign policy and veterans' affairs - are valuable contributions to the USA.
His committee assignments - on the Foreign Policy Committee and chair of the subcommittee on European Affairs - constitute significant work and awareness in the foreign policy arena.
It isn't decades, like Biden or McCain, but dissing it as inconsequential is - perhaps unintentionally - misleading.

The only arguments to defend Palin on here are those who compare her to the likes of Pelosi or the inexperience of Obama himself. Is it impossible for republicans to justly criticize McCain's irresponsible choice? The picking of a Novice is irrational and stupid, period, for either President or Vice President. (So tired of the presumption that any who criticize are democrats or support Obama.) Those who defend McCain's choice do so by blindfolding themselves first to the dangers of choosing a novice in ANY profession for a position of high importance.

This is a major clue to John McCain's judgment which is completely beholden to the neoconservative war-mongers whom he serves as a good s...
