There are lots of things you can do to lower your use of fossil fuels water and other resources. I use Bio-diesel in my benz, which I make myself from used vegetable oil. I have done this for years and get better millage. I dont think its the answer to our dependence on oil, but its something you can do now. We also have three stations here pumping biofuels.

We got free new toilets from the water company that use less water. And landscaped for low water usage, using rock gardens, mixed with plants and no lawn.
