Without 18th-century research in magnetism, we sould never have had electricity and everything it's made possible, including the computer you use to post on Clipmarks. Investigations into quantum physics have helped chip manufacturers build more powerful microprocessors at lower cost. "Rese... can't very well try out the kama sutra if you don't have a partner, and how are you supposed to find a partner in 9 days when you couldn't do that in 20 years? somehow I don't think that a line like: "hey... so you know that supercollider thing ... might destroy the world, ya know?" ...isn't likely to improve my changes. |
