ggmart says: visit thefuture of food.com and make your own conclusion. O.K. So how about 100 years from now..as if the world will last that long... and there is a gene in a pig that causes that pig to be what they call a throw back. Monsanto has rights? Then what about my right to refuse anyone to poke a needle into my critter and take blood? OMG we gotta panic Patent rights (utility) are ONLY enforceable for a term of 20 years total. After 20 years it expires and becomes public domain property. You CANNOT renew the patent after 20 years. Of course Mansanto being the huge corporation they are, would file others in series, prolonging any coverages thru the new applications. These are the same guys who make the weed killer Round-Up and creators of the Terminator seeds. A nasty compnay if ever there was one. We have a Monsanto in St. Louis - A nasty city if there ever was one. |
