Children are prone to Leukemia, central nervous system cancers and neuroblastoma. Teratoma is the most common type of tumor for children under 20. Survival rates for children with Cancer differ depending on the type of cancer. 12% of all childhood deaths in South Carolina are due to cancer. The earlier cancer is diagnosed in children the higher their chances of survival.
