very cool. i like FREE Free Ware writers are doing a tremendous service to computer users. They deserve our respects. Thanks! I like EverNote most of all, thanks for sharing! Great list, thanks Disclaimer: To give anyone who is a fan of ABI Word some credit, I tried it about two years ago; it might be much better now. But... OpenOffice.Org is much better than ABI Word. ABI Word is a sorry excuse for a text editor. When I last used it, all it could do was imitate "Word" using HTML tags for font characteristics. If you resize the window, say goodbye to your cursor -- you can't tell what you're doing when you try to fix errors! ex.: My cursor should be at the end of this sent|ence. _________________________________^cursor appears in this general area after a few lines of typing, or resizing. Hit backspace a few times... My cursor should be at the end of this| sente ______________... Roughdraft is probably as good as it gets for freeware. I use Sophocles for screenwriting, and Liquid Story Binder for novels. Both excellent value for money. Evernote is an excellent program. As is a tiny little freeware program called Pepys which I use for organising my thoughts. http://freewarewiki.pbwiki.com/Pepys This type of Clip is extremely valuable and much appreciated. I am trying evernote as a result.... Thanks!! i agree with Kylep about the open office.org stuff. it's really handy and user friendly soft. still, thanks a lot for the clip. it'll be helpful |
