This is good news for the law abiding citizens of DC. This is good news for law abiding citizens everywhere. I have wondered for a long time how cities can get away with just throwing out the second amendment. Oh yeah just what the US needs ..... more handguns The criminals can get guns easily enough. Why do you think the law abiding citizen shouldn't? I wonder how the "law abiding citizens" of DC actually feel about it? Having grown up in DC myself, I don't actually think most of them are going to be too pleased with the ruling. It used to be known as the murder capital of the country before the gun ban went into effect. Gun bans don't reduce crime. They don't stop the criminals from getting guns, just the law abiding citizens. Sure, if you say so. I'm just saying, before you assume that all of DC's law abiding citizens are happy about this, ask a couple. enbar, you would be extremely surprised. Watch Virginia gun sales around DC skyrocket. And it isn't like anyone is being forced to buy a gun. They courts just said it is unconstitutional to take away the rights of a law abiding citizen to own a gun. The right of the PEOPLE to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. Can't be much more infringed than an outright gun ban. I'm just saying, a lot of people i knew -- like, my friends' mothers, growing up -- were pretty glad there wasn't a gun shop on every corner like there is in some towns. I dont see why citezens weren't up in arms( pun intended |
