Fliers congratulating the gay community on Pride Day in Massachusetts, and pledging support for their interests in being released publicly for the first time. His comments saying that he is a far better friend to gays than Ted Kennedy could ever hope to be, is also part of the record of his unsuccessful Senate run. But now that he needs the religious right on his side, he does another about face, and denies any support for gay rights whatsoever. Just as he did for his support of a woman's right to choose.
