The fact that these "founding mothers" are not from Asia is no big revelation. I watched a special on the Discover Channel a few days ago that said the newest theory is that native Americans came across from Europe/Africa as fishermen during the last Ice Age about 8,000 to 10,000 years ago.

The reason we have never found evidence of their settlements here in America is because during the last Ice Age the coast at that time is now under a lot of water off the current east coast of the U.S.

This theory is proven by the Clovis Point weapons that are found in Canada, the south western U.S., and in one spot on the east coast of the U.S. They have found that the Clovis Point is closely related...

This new DNA evidence is further proof that the archeological findings are on the right track.
