People really need to understand that this joke didn't hurt anyone. I mean come on. The students vote for king and queen. It's not like the school picked him.

You know what? And this comes from a mother whose daughter was a homecoming queen. I hate these things. If voting for a boy shed a little light on these "popularity" contests and poked fun of them and all their seriousness, then good! Parents need to get a life and start stressing the importance of true values instead of these shallow things.

IMO, Zaggy was the mature person here. Whatever minor justification there might be for his parents having their nose out of joint I cannot see how the other girls' parents could be upset as their darlings clearly lost. Is there a specific rule saying a male cannot compete. If there was, then it might be discriminatory.
