Forbes Markets says: Reiteration of the thrust of the Treasury's blueprint from earlier this year as Washington's tries to work out how to get out of the situation the Fed created by flooding the banks with lifeboat liquidity. Our political system is so broken that we need to hand power over (supra-constitutionally) to the Fed in order to have order on Wall Street. Sad, sad sad. It is time that we cap political spending, require free airtime for political ads and generally set up a system of checks and balances against the undue influence of the moneyed in our political system. When the only one's that can win elections are those that do not show-up for work because they are fund rasing, the already wealthy, or the already famous then the system is fatally broken. |
