Google is not evil!

Yes I've had bad experiences with Yahoo widgets too.

Google has always been the winner in every category.
Face it, smart people make smart products. I expect them to continue this trend for quite awhile.

I very rarely use Yahoo anymore because of the reasons noted above by others plus I found it to be much too intrusive.

I do not use Yahoo widget, I tried and dropped it. I used Yahoo mail and messenger for long time, but I stoppped because their approach is very intrusive. If you upgrade messenger for example you get as default toolbar and configurations changes and add-ons you never asked for, and you have to be very careful before you hit the NEXT button.

Agree about Google, their products are simple to use and fast (see Google docs, Gmail and also Google calendar)
