My question is, if I as a white, Christian, Republican, Conservative, Pro-Life, woman join a Mexican/Asian/African-American, Jewish, Democrate, Pro-Choice, Fraternity?

This is tricky. See, by excluding others, to me that is not a Christian way to live. On the other hand, there Latin clubs, etc. and the point isn't whether it's "acting Christian" to do this. This is a court matter, so that is where I find this a tough decision.

They aren't excluding anyone from attending the Bible studies & all. The membership has to do with choosing leaders & such. If they didn't limit membership to only Christians, then it wouldn't be a Christian club. Just like if they didn't limit the Democrat club to only Democrats, then it wouldn't be a Democrat club.

But the article states:

"the group excludes membership to homosexuals and non-Christians, a federal appeals court ruled Tuesday"

It doesn't say, homosexual non-Christians. It says homosexuals AND non, etc. That's what I was referring to.

Good point, touchy subject.

I guess the problem would be with the statement of faith part that says "the Bible is the inspired word of God." If they signed that, they would be saying that homosexuality was a sin & many homosexuals (or at least the ones that I am friends & associates with) do not feel that way.

I agree and it gets even trickier. For instance, I have a few friends at my family's church in New Orleans that always lived the life of gay persons, but since being born again, they are now celibate. Now one friend in particular has only had same sex partners, but now none. He is now a Christian but does not now say he's heterosexual. See what I mean? It's a subject that will never be resolved I'm afraid.

Oh, I totally get what you are saying. I think that is wonderful. Just as an alcoholic never stops being an alcoholic but must obtain from it. Like I will never stop being a glutton but must not allow myself to fall back into that lifestyle.
