My last gas bill was at least 30% higher than last years.... Perhaps with global warming, I might just consider putting on a few more jumpers and forgetting about heating my flat next winter..... This is from someone living in Sunny Italy.... Very cold winters normally up our way, though.... and now with inflation and unemployment soaring... the future looks very grim.... I actually got quite plastered last night.... We had our first Chinese youth of the local immigrant community, graduate at the University of Trieste.... I watched that boy grow and it was really marvelous to hear him, boldly present himself as "Ingenere" (Engineer)... This year we also had our first highschool graduate with honors... We've had others passing maths and physics with honors, but this kid is the first to pass with honors in all subjects including literature and history.... I was his first Italian teacher when he arrived at Trieste at age nine.... Red wine and grappa should keep flowing for a bit.... It grows round here.... We tend to tackle the intolleranc... That's wonderful suzikoh, I'm so happy for you, and proud of the recent graduates. In an all to often gloomy world its so refreshing to hear success stories and uplifting signs of hope. Cheers  |
