Modern US warfare has nothing at all to do with "national security" and everything with using tax money to enrich war profiteers.

This is a neat little setup. War profiteers like Haliburton lobby politicians for more wars and more soldiers in existing wars. They then provide the war machinery and get the lucrative private contracts.

All the expenses are carried by the taxpayer. All the profits go into their pockets.
