pokkets says: Something I know it's a lot of parents can tell you already, but it's something the manufacturers have been able to deny through lack of evidence. It's expensive to change. As the effects of these additives are investigated, there will be more reason find safer substitutes. I'm sure it can't be too hard. The preservative is the additive that is actually useful. There was a placebo, and two drinks with different amounts of colouring. They are the to drinks that both have the preservative. So lose the colours and find a new preservative ? Surely with the amount that is spent on candy it would be worthwhile. How much research funding is required to sell candy to kids ? (Excluding Advertising.) Great, now I can't have jellybeans anymore. I've heard of places that make things like jellybeans without the coloring, and make it a selling point, but I don't know how easy they are to find. They talk about hyperactivity but it usually depends on the kid and if there are other additives, combined with things like aspartame. I don't care if I get hyperactive, I'd just drink less coffee, but the kids can eat chocolate (If they're lucky) I recently learned that food colouring can cause an allergic reaction that will lower blood sugar. No good for the hypoglycemic. You can bet that many of these "new" "diseases" or ailments are just symptoms of poisoning by food makers. Grow you own! It's so delicious! |
