::sigh:: I just don't see what this gets us.

With the 30 day limit, it sounds like now we're saying "hurry up and kill him before anyone changes their mind"

Perhaps Iraqis can now finally claim to be happy about something .... and we may also get our 'dancing on the streets' celebration, three years too late in the making but hey what an achievement for billions of dollars and counting.

Saddam perhaps turned out to be the most expensive dictator in the history of the world. I wonder what we could have done otherwise with the amount we have spent on two wars on this personality alone?

Hurry up!? This should have been a done deal long ago. More like, about time.

And what it "gets us" is a measure of justice for his victims.

I'm afraid he'll be called a martyr by some maniacs.

Of course he'll be called a martyr by some maniacs....those who benefited from his corruption and enjoyed his demonic sense of torture. For the families of all his victims, there might be rejoicing that this evil man is no longer breathing air.

And concerning dancing in the streets, I watched the coverage of the Day the forces went into Baghdad and Saddam's domination was ended. There was much dancing in the streets and the unforgettable picture of the elderly Arab man beating Saddam's picture with this sandal. What an image!
