Makes sense, it's easy to forget, when looking at numbers on a page, how long evolution can take, and there are both direct lines, and any number of threads

Kinda makes you wonder what we are progressing to now

I remember someone saying that before we get much smarter, women would have to evolve wider hips, or the head wouldn't fit through, maybe the way the skull forms will change. We could even devolve. Maybe some other species will come up with a better model. We're starting to to a lot of tweaking. As usual, whatever happens we'll get used to it, and pretend that's the way things have always been.

Makes a lot of sense Pokkets. (I'm being kinda sarcastic though). If the person you are referring to thinks that getting smarter would mean a bigger brain then, pray tell, what about all of the existing proof that higher technology is smaller as well?

Also, why is there no proof in ANYONE's lifetime that things evolve rather than devolve (decay)? There is plenty of evidence for the latter.
