Niepce sure had patience -- it took 8 hours of exposure time to generate this photo. Must have been incredibly exciting to watch real life come to print life for the first time.

Not sure. It's funny -- imagine he knew that we were here at Clipmarks in 2007 looking at his photo... maybe he would have put a pretty girl in the shot or something (though she would have had to sit there for 8 hours).
