Good news! I certainly hope that my vote counts in Indiana. Today I mailed a write-in absentee ballot to my Indiana hometown clerk's office after waiting until this late date for the absentee ballot I requested (in person) last July to arrive. I was told two weeks ago, when I called to make sure that I hadn't been forgotten, that my ballot had been mailed October 3rd--and here it is October 23rd and still no ballot received. With all the shenanigans going on, or rumored to be going on, I have been feeling a tad uneasy, wondering if I am being disenfranchised. Today I mailed a write-in absentee ballot to my Indiana hometown clerk's office after waiting until this late date for the absentee ballot I requested (in person) last July to arrive. I was told two weeks ago, when I called to make sure that I hadn't been forgotten, that my ballot had been mailed October 3rd--and here it is October 23rd and still no ballot received. With all the shenanigans going on, or rumored to be going on, I have been feeling a tad uneasy, wondering if I am being disenfranchised. Fortunately Democrats Abroad has info and a Federal Write-In Absentee Ballot to use if your absentee ballot did not arrive, so I was forced to go that route. I also had to pay a big postage fee in order for my ballot to arrive in time from Canada to, hopefully, be counted. Who knows what is going on behind the scenes.
