Without going into a long diatribe ....

I thought students already DID have the right to pray or take their moment of silence, or even read from their religious texts during their "down time", if they so choose. But they're not allowed to preach or try to convert others. Why do we need a law to give them permission to do what they're already allowed to do? I'm confused.

PS... I'm ALL FOR the seperation of church and state, and I believe that schools should NOT be allowed to TEACH anything with regards to religious ideals. Nor should a teacher be allowed to talk about their personal religious beliefs, since they are such a huge influence on a child's life.
