Sure you could send it to the tip to be disposed of as landfill, or incinerate it on the next bonfire. You could even send it to a recycling station (if the item is recyclable) and have it broken down into its base components and remanufactured into a new product. But the best thing that you can for others and for the planet is to “Freecycle” the item. Be it a TV, a Bike, old furniture or whatever. One person’s trash is always another’s treasure.
