Why the reverend in asterisk? What has he said that is hateful and racist? Truth is neither hateful, racist or arrogant and has no glory to it. In fact if this is the kind of Pastor Obama listens to, I would vote for him even more (if I could, of course). The asterisk is because he is a so-called 'reverend'. He is not, apparently, a preacher or evangelist of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. I won't argue with anyone about what the Gospel is...a Christian knows what it is. "Christ died, according to the Scriptures, was buried and rose again, according to the Scriptures." "He who believes in Me has life; he who does not believe in Me does not have life and the wrath of God abides on him." No one is forced to believe this Gospel. It's "good news" for anyone who is looking for redemption from their sins and hope for life beyond this one. *Reverend* Wright is a wolf in sheep's clothing, a false teacher who wraps himself in the cloak of... And what has Rev. Wright said contradicts your quotes? What makes Wright a wolf-in-sheep clothing? If your going to talk about TRUTH, (which I never considered a relative concept by the way), proof is required. Ad-libbing the Bible is not enough. That is not ad-libbing. Especially when "Truth" has become a relative concept.What a statement when nobody ever provides the statements that are factually incorrect. They just attack the man and provide no words or analysis of any accuracies. Merely attacks and accusations. I am almost certain I will never see a right wing clipper provide a comment that says, "Reverend Wright said this and it is factually incorrect because when you consider the history of Europeans and Africans and the development of the U.S.A......" But I am certain I will see more of "he's a wolf in sheep's clothing". I assumed that his comments had been heard or read. Don't look if you don't want to 'see' any more of my comments. Clipmarks is completely open to all and commenting is expected, but when we disagree so completely...what's the point? I'm not looking for debate. I want to clip "the other side" of the story or issue for any one who might be interested. Neither of you share my views. Knowing this, I refrain from commenting to yours now and it's more pleasant for everyone. So we should not challenge your clips or statements? I see... Oh well, your choice of course, but I choose to stand for something and ask people to back up their statements with facts. Perhaps it is to high a standard. Challenge all you like....neither you nor I are going to influence or change anyones mind. Not that you would change my mind on Reverend Wright but you might change my opinion about whether the people commenting on him even bother to listen to his words or only listen to the spin of a Fox News commentator. I'm betting that you can't even repeat more than 10 words that have been said in any one of his sermons. Just more blah, blah, blah about REVEREND Wright - more racist hypocrisy. White religious leaders can spew hatred, proclaim Hurricane Katrina and 9/11 the American peoples fault and God's vengeance. They can advocate insurrection and still be Reverend and wholly American. Oh yeah baby, HATE is great and Profitable, if it's got a White Face. You poor feeble minded racists, your fears are now exposed, withering on the vine of the 21st century.
