What an awesome prayer. Sadly our culture, our times, our values do not encourage this kind of internal and spiritual maturity. When I think of the future ahead for this coming generation of Americans, I see very little of the intestinal fortitude. Perhaps the times will have to become even more severe. The weak will die off/fall away and the strong will become stronger. Self-discipline and wisdom are the keys.

What an awesome example of "internal and spiritual maturity". As for "wisdom" I am way too dumb to remotely understand what "intestinal fortitude" may be. Something to do with bowel control?
