citizenbfk says: Here's how Israel's 'fart-in-your-face" diplomacy works: A week before the Great Decider/The Peacemaker George Bush arrives (and this was done last year with Coni Rice's visit, and the year before that, etc.) -- well, a week before the start of the Great Peace Deal, Israel expands it's settlements, it starts construction in the Arab half of Jerusalem, it announces there is no Arab half of Jerusalem, it shuts off fuel deliveries and electricity to Gaza, tightens the blocakde and progresses with the slow starvation of over a million people right in front of our eyes, continues with collective punishment attacking whole vilages for the actions of a few. It then gets a deal, part of which the Arabs give up something (right of return) and the part of the deal where they have to give up something (the expansion beyond the 67 borders) is never honored, never intended to be honor, and will later be defaulted due to "ongoing Arab terrorism." (i.e. one suicide bomber, or whatever). Yes, who has the most money, the biggest guns, and that makes the policy, but there's bigger forces at work and watch them dudes shoot it out till they're all good and dead. Guess we better learn to get out of the way. People want peace, now, more and more and eventually we get our way. Great commentary and observations, typical "problem-reaction-solution" scenario. Israel is a rogue state with no constitution, no legally defined borders (so that it can expand), and is armed with WMD. Israel's apartheid is never challenged. The major network news media, with Jewish Zionists as chairman or board members, give Israel a pass on all abuses, including neocon wars for a "new middle east". I agree. I hate the accusations of racism that Jews so readily throw in our faces when trying to make valid criticism of policies of collective punishment, apartheid and now the slow starvation of over a million people in Gaza. This is the type of evil that was one of the good things of World War II. This is the type of evi that we should continue to oppose today. Your description of it, above, is good. It can make you want to pull your hair out but being decent, civilized, and articulate and clear is even more necessary. Good grief! Not an ounce of balance here. Poor Palestinians. Poor Abbas. Poor Hamas. Poor Gazans. All they've ever wanted was for every Jewish person dead and every foot of the Jewish state as their own. AND they're getting it!! as the world feels sorry for the repercussions of their choices of leadership. Arafat robbed those people blind. Hamas is doing the same thing; using every penny that comes into the area for bombs, guns, artillery. What the world sends for humanitarian aid ends up as cash for war. The Palestinians should be rising up against the thugs they elected and demanding the aid that has sent to them...but they've been so brainwashed that they are convinced that the... Poor Jews. |
