"If the asnwer is yes, congratulations. If the answer is no, break up with him today. You are not going to make him change."

"break up with him today" just like that ???

what about ...
F "Hi ... can we talk ?"
M "sure, my love"
F "I'd like to change the way I do thing, we do things, I would like the next six months to be different to the last six months ... " and maybe ("the last six months was great ..." )

how about communication ???

And as for "he wont change" - I'm 42 - I'm a lot different to how I was when I was 16,21,25,30,35,40 ... and I will be different in the future

Of course, people change! Of course, you shouldn't break up w/ someone just like that, unless you catch them in bed with your mother, coming after you with an axe, or somesuch egregious violation of trust.

Communication is cost of entry for a decent, working relationship. It's the foundation of everything. The manifesto is, I believe, directed at those women who still believe in fairy tales (Prince Charming, Happily Ever After) and the myth of the fixer upper. Too many women--I don't think this is a problem men have--date someone who is sort of what they want, thinking ...

Note what I said--that they'll change the rest, not that they're marrying a person with opinions and preferences and, hopefully, character, who will change and grow over time.

Maybe you're one of the lucky three men who've never encountered a woman like this, and if so, thank the stars you were born under, or your own good sense, or both.

As to the rest of it, I'm in the "never try teaching a pig to whistle" camp, advice which has served me well when I chose to follow it.
