I taught kids in the NT for thirty years. We had "lice parades" at one stage and about 10% of the kids usually needed treatment. I was an up close teacher, often sitting beside students while helping them. My hair ranged from shoulder length to short and I always had a beard. I never had head lice.

Reminds me of primary school days (6-11) when 'Nitty Norah' used to visit.
