Don`t think its the latex. More then likely the chemical that is still embedded in the rubber. And definatly a problem of China.

If she'd been willing to spend a little more money on a better-made product, this wouldn't have happened. I bought a pair of spa sandals for $20.00, and theyve lasted five years, and should be good for a few more, and they haven't rotted my feet.

You get what you pay for, and when you're cheap, sometimes you get what you deserve.

Not veryone can afford to buy 'better quality' products. Look around some time at the customers in any Wal-Mart. I assure you they are not in the top 20% of the income bracket. On the contrary many people with low incomes shop there as it's all they can afford most of the time. The real point you should make is that products from China need to be made safer an subject to the same lawsuits that wouls occur if an American mfg made them.

I agree the products should be safer, and i don't disagree that China hould be held to the same standard as the West, but when the produts become safer the price increases also, so there s not a whole lot of wining going on here. The more money an item costs to produce the more money it costs the comsumer, naturally. "China's" will always exist no matter the regulations imposed on them. The means and extremes will alway win in a cpaitalstic 'free' world market. There is really no feasible solution, in my opinion. Only ideals.
